“Our lives are increasingly disconnected from nature and from the planet. The nature (pun intended) of our work puts clay workers deeply in touch with Earth Our Mother, her heart, her rhythms, and all her children.”
Jennifer Lowell’s clay works take inspiration from traditions that go back to our most distant ancestors, with a light hearted, whimsical attitude. She teaches art and ESL to elementary students; she earned a BA in Language and a Master’s in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from CU Boulder. Jennifer set foot on her clay journey in Algeciras, Spain, working with a local potter from a long heritage of clay workers.
