Courtney Cotton’s paintings and collages give visual expression to the unconscious influence of experience, feeling, and emotion--grounded in personal discipline and mindfulness practice. Her process may be rapid and spontaneous or labored and introspective, transforming inspiration into an exuberant explosion or a contemplative stillness. Courtney studied art at the University of South Carolina, Rhode Island School of Design, and Queens College. Her art is held in private and corporate collections across the US.
