“Throughout my life, I’ve loved being outdoors and I’ve been fortunate enough to take in some of the most beautiful sights imaginable. I strive to reflect that beauty in my artwork.”
Watercolorist John Mitch Jones creates stunningly detailed images of the natural world that transport the viewer, capturing the moving beauty of a single flower or the wide vistas of the American Southwest. Mitch has been drawing all of his life, painting and carving almost all of his life. Describing himself as a “self-taught” artist, Mitch admits to “at least a few art classes under my belt.” After working a “normal” career and raising a family with his wife Onda, he has taken up art once again as his main focus.
